I love keeping a clean and tidy home, but with three kids under six, it can be a bit of a challenge.
I vacuum clean most days – glitter, popcorn, biscuits, sequins, paper, craft bits and goodness knows what else!
Recently I was one of the first people in Australia to review the brand new Miele Blizzard CX1 bagless vacuum cleaner and I’m impressed.
Our home has a hard marble floor in our main living space (which is usually very hard to keep clean) and carpet in the bedrooms, and the Blizzard CX1 glides quickly and effortlessly on both floor types, especially because it has an extra long cord and I’m not constantly having to stop to switch power points.
It’s so effective, I only had to go over areas once and everything was vacuumed up.
The shape of the vacuum cleaner attachment for hard floors means I can easily vacuum underneath our couch in usually hard to reach places, the handle is adjustable so it’s as easy for my super tall husband to use as it is for me, and there is even a clever attachment to clean our skirting boards. This attachment is cleverly stored on the vacuum cleaner itself meaning it will never be lost or misplaced.
I really love that you can switch the vacuum on and off using the remote on the handle – and even adjust the suction – so it makes vacuuming even quicker and easier.
It packs away very compactly and conveniently, which is very important for me as we live in an apartment and space is at a premium, and the cord retracts by a single tap on the foot switch.
And to top it all off, the Queen of keeping a clean home (my mum) has had a Miele vacuum cleaner for over ten years now and swears by it!
I never thought I would get so excited about a vacuum cleaner, but anything that works quickly and efficiently – and keeps my home clean and dust free – gets a big tick from me.
Because then I’m free to get on with my day with my family.
