Anthony is now almost seven weeks old, how quickly has that flown by?
I’m amazed at how many more products there are available for babies this time around, even more than when Chloe was born four years ago.
We’re SO lucky to have so many choices, but at the same time – it’s very overwhelming trying to choose what’s going to work best for you and your baby.
These are the baby products I’m been LOVING these past:
What a beautiful pram!
I LOVE the Joolz Day2 pram – the quality is next level, it glides effortlessly, folds easily, has a very easy to use brake, a generous basket to put ALL the baby things, the handle adjusts so my super tall hubby can easily push the pram and you can even personalise your ride with your baby’s name!
From our experience with a couple of different prams with our first two babies, we know it’s worth investing in the best pram you can find – and the Joolz Day2 is the best I’ve experienced. Hands down.
I love being able to use my LV as a nappy bag, as it’s the perfect size and The Nappy Society insert is perfect for Anthony’s nappies, wipes, hand sanitiser, creams etc – it comes with a baby change mat and has space for a bottle too. I’ve had so many people message me about this insert – I can’t recommend it highly enough!
This was highly recommended to me by Angela Tsun (newsreader here in Perth) who used it for her baby Zoe.
Anthony sleeps really well in his Cocoonababy, it’s on an incline to limit reflux and has been designed by French obstetricians to mimic the womb and create a safe, warm, snug environment for your little one.
Plus Zoe Foster Blake just posted about it on her Insta – so it must be good!
NOTE: If you do decide to get a Cocoonababy, you will need to get a Love To Dream swaddle so your baby can sleep with their arms up, allowing you to secure your baby in the Cocoonababy with the tummy strap. After using a different swaddle, we started using this one and Anthony seems to prefer it, he sleeps for longer and can self soothe by sucking on his hands. (I’m sure he’s soothed himself back to sleep during the night).
A double breast pump makes SO much more sense than the single one I had for Ava and Chloe. This MAMMA double electric breast pump has been designed by two Aussie / Scandinavian mums FOR mums and is the best I’ve seen on the market. Plus they donate 5% of all sales to little ones in need – big tick from me!
I can’t tell you how handy this Milk Snob cover has been – probably the best $36 (US) dollars I’ve spent on Anthony. It’s a cover for the capsule which not only protects your baby from the cold / wind / rain / sun – it also protects them from germs (and prying hands)!
It also works as a feeding over, trolley cover and high chair cover. Win win win!
Baby skin is so precious and sensitive – this Whistle and Squeak Babe soap has no nasties, is soft and gentle and has a really subtle hint of lavender. And it’s been created by mum of three, Sarah who is an Environmental Scientist, so you know it’s made with lots of love. Check out the rest of the Whistle and Squeak range, I LOVE my surface spray!
This is a must have! The top half is super soft and comfy, while the bottom half is wipeable and quick drying – perfect for poo explosions. I had one today and was SO thankful for my clever Bubs First change mat. Made by Aussie mums for mums.
This is perfect for when your baby is unsettled and just wants to be close to you, I’ve used mine so I can still get on with meal prep in between kisses and snuggles. Such a clever and practical idea for all mums and bubs!
Best wipes EVER.
They are much thicker than most wipes, PLUS they pull out one at a time (rather than pulling out a string of wipes) which is SO important when you’re changing a nappy in the middle of the night and you’re half asleep and nappy change time needs to be quick!
Plus they are fragrance free, no alcohol, no phenols, no parabens or phalates – plus they are made with organic ingredients.
LOVE! I get mine from Coles or Woolworths.
Everyone has a different opinion about having a routine with babies.
When Ava was born I said ‘Oh she can can just sleep in the car or in her pram when I’m out and about – we won’t need a routine’.
How wrong I was!
Babies and children NEED routine, and I’ve found Tizzie Hall works for us. I don’t use it exactly to a tee, but I do use her timings for feeds as it makes life SO much easier if I know what’s coming next, and it helps me to know if Anthony is crying beacuse he is hungry or tired.
In her book she helps you to understand your baby, and it’s made life so much easier for me and Anthony a very happy baby
