I first posted these super cute Teddy Bear cars last year after I saw them on Pinterest and made them for Ava’s school ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ and she asked me to make them for her class again this year.
These Teddy Bear Cars are so easy and the best part is – there’s no baking at all, only assembling.
They would be perfect for a birthday party or a fun school holiday activity.
I skipped making the steering wheels this time as most of the Smarties didn’t cut evenly in half, and after eating about 6 broken Smarties I decided the Teddies could just go without their steering wheels this time!
I prepared all of the ingredients first and then started a little production line over two nights, put some chill out tunes on and away I went.
Most methods recommend using a bag for the melted chocolate, however I melted mine in a little pot and then used a clean fine paint brush to dab the melted chocolate on to assemble the Teddy Bear Cars.
1 bag Milky Way Bars (18 in a big pack)
1 box Tiny Teddy Biscuits (honey flavour)
1 bag of Smarties (300g)
100 grams Milk Chocolate for melting
Fine paint brush to paint the melted chocolate when assembling
1) Cut 9 Smarties in half for steering wheels, so you have 18 in total – (I chose to make all my steering wheels yellow)
2) Count out 18 Tiny Teddies and carefully cut from the belly button
3) Melt chocolate in a microwave safe pot (I usually pop it in for 30 seconds at a time)
4) Attach Smarties as wheels using the melted chocolate and paint brush, then attach Tiny Teddy (I gently pushed mine in a little too) then attach the Smartie cut in half as the steering wheel
Now the Teddy Bears are ready for an adventure!
