I’ve just returned from an amazing, fun filled weekend in Melbourne with my best girlfriends.
We had such a wonderful time together, and I feel truly grateful to know such incredible women who are kind, strong, inspiring and crazy funny.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about being grateful.
It can totally change the way you think and feel and live your life.
I’ve become SO much more grateful in my thirties than I was in my twenties.
Quite often when I’ve been crazy sleep deprived these last few years (things are SO much better now than they were 6 months ago, thank goodness!), I’ve put some feel good music on and forced myself to point out wonderful things to my girls.
Beautiful flame trees (the girls and I are OBSESSED at the moment, by both the trees and the Cold Chisel song.)
A stunning sunrise.
A happy, feel good song.
Focussing on all the little things that you love and appreciate in your life makes you so much more grateful and takes the focus off feeling unsatisfied, tired, discontent or unhappy.
The happiest people I know aren’t the ones without problems in their lives, they are the ones who choose to look for things to be grateful and happy about.
