I adore candles and have them dotted throughout our house. Not only do they look beautiful, I burn one every morning to make my home smell delicious and again in the evening to relax and unwind.

My friend Danielle is a busy mum of five and a carer to her darling son Noah (whose spirit and smile shines so bright despite his body being ravaged by disease). Despite her broken heart and exhaustion, Danielle will always make you feel special and welcome around her kitchen table.

I am in awe of a 28 year old mum of 3 kids under 7, who is also responsible for the welfare of her own 4 brothers and sisters plus is mum to her 6 year old niece. On top of that, she was a refugee and only here 4 years before her mum passed away, then her sister. She is also trying to improve her English skills at TAFE part time. She is the most amazing person I have encountered and I would love to give her a few precious moments of relaxation in her hectic family life.

I nominate my work colleague, Linden, who raised two amazing kids as a single Mum. Out of necessity she came back to full time work only 6 weeks after giving birth to her youngest and I have never heard her complain or whinge about her tough life. Looking back she must have endured sleepless nights and still managed to come into work with a cheery disposition, expressing milk during lunch breaks and rushing home to care for her kids. She is a real inspiration to single Mums out there. It’s not easy but it can be done!
My selfless colleague Linden raised two amazing kids as a single Mum and returned to work out of necessity only 6 weeks after giving birth!
I nominate my Mother-in-Law Veronika Peake. She is the modern day Mrs Brady, giving birth to 7 children and raising another 4. Now she has 14 grandkids (and counting) too! My husband is an amazing man and that has everything to do with the positive influence his Mum was and is. No matter what struggles she faces, each day is met with a smile and a heart full of love to give.
Hi, I nominate my friend Heidi. She’s an absolutely amazing mum to her two children one whom is on the autism spectrum and she has many challenges with this. As well as a mum she volunteers to run autism mum support groups and has helped write the perth autism handbook, she does so much for everyone else I think it would be Devine to pamper her and say thank you!
I nominate my wonderful Mum Jessie. She grew up as one of 18 children and wasn’t as fortunate to have a life that I’ve been given. She is selfless and always there for me. 4 days a week she helps get my kids to school & collects them also, so I can work as a Grade 1 teacher and have the best life balance. Her health is deteriorating and I often wonder how I would cope with out her. Thank you Mum x

She moved away to Port Hedland 4 years ago with my dad for work and has been so sad and suffered quite a lot with depression being away from me and her grandsons, she is also selfless and loves giving others pressie so it would be nice for her to get something for once. She is finally moving back next week and this would be an awesome gift to welcome her home.
My amazing Supermum who would do anything for her kids. She just had my little family live with her for 6 months and is an endless pillar of support to us all. She is also Dad’s number 1 fan, which is pretty cute.

I nominate my amazing mum Judi. She is the best mum and nanna not only to my daughter but also to my stepsons who she has taken on as her own. She has put me and my sister first her whole life, and continues to support my sister as she struggles with an eating disorder at a time when she should be relaxing and enjoying retirement.
