It’s Friday! YAY!
How’s your week been?
Cruisy or crazy?
Mine got off to a crazy start, the domain name for my blog expired on the weekend (my own fault!) and it took me a day to get my blog back up, then I couldn’t log in AT ALL for another day and I had a post due. ARRGGGHH!
Thank goodness for clever hubby and wife team Kelly and Anthony Exeter from Swish Design who came to my rescue and sorted everything out on Public holiday Monday.
They are the go to people for website, logo and graphic design.
So I was already playing catch up on my week, Baz flew to Melbourne for work, I was mid party planning for Ava’s birthday this weekend and had a photo shoot with the girls to prepare for on Wednesday.
In amongst all this craziness I have been thinking a lot about a beautiful high tea Baz and I had with four seriously unwell and disadvantaged children from Cinderella Kids on Sunday afternoon at the spectacular C Restaurant.
Spending time with people who are doing it tough – and I mean really tough – puts everything into very harsh perspective.
Stuff I’d been stressing about seemed so silly and insignificant.
Sometimes we take for granted very simple things.
Health. Family. Friends. A bed to sleep in. Enough food to eat.
I know we throw the words ‘gratitude’ and ‘being grateful’ around, but for some people daily life is a real struggle.
So today I’m going to spend time being grateful.
I’m so grateful it’s Autumn.
As much as I love Summer, I was ready for a cool change.
Such a welcome relief.
I’m so grateful for my two beautiful daughters.
A hubby who makes me laugh every day.
I’m grateful that this weekend we’ll be celebrating Ava’s 4th birthday with family and friends.
I can’t wait to see her face when her special surprise appears at her party!
So much to be grateful for.

What are you grateful for today?
Do you know someone doing it tough?0
