A few years ago I discovered clinical Pilates and had an ‘Ah-ha! moment.
I finally found my kind of exercise.
Since then Pilates has supported me through two pregnancies, helped me overcome reoccurring lower back issues, lose 20 kilos after both pregnancies and put me on track to being my most strong, toned, happy and healthy.
Recently I was having a chat with my friend Angela Tsun (my hubby’s gorgeous Channel 7 colleague) who was looking AH-MAZING. She shared with me that she was going to Power Pilates at Lifestyle Boom in preparation for her wedding and invited me along to a session which I LOVED!

The studio is really welcoming, fun and friendly and sessions are made up of people of all fitness levels with a max of twelve people – some who are just starting Pilates and others who have been doing it for a while.
The music gets cranked up and away we go, with everyone working at the level they feel most comfortable at under the careful guidance of the Exercise Physio’s Ashleigh or Kim.
After each session I feel like I’ve worked out my entire body – biceps, triceps, calves, glutes, core, abs, legs, shoulders – I feel strong, toned and stretched and I finally have definition in my arms, abs and legs that I always wanted but could never achieve before.
Lots of people ask me if you get much of a cardio workout doing Pilates, and the answer is YES! Come and do a Power Pilates session and see what an incredible workout you get.
Pilates is also amazing for my mind, I can walk into a session feeling exhausted and a bit frazzled and leave feeling focussed and re-energised and ready for whatever the day or week holds for me.
I also love that you can manage your bookings online at Lifestyle Boom, so if it’s 8pm at night and I suddenly remember I want to head in for a session the next day or week – I can just jump online and book. Too easy!
