I had loads of fun at the Zhivago closing for the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival last night. I always wonder what on earth I’m going to wear to special events and usually look at my wardrobe with despair, so after deciding I wasn’t loving anything in my own wardrobe – I phoned a friend and she pulled this fabulous number out of her wardrobe. Thanks so much Kate! You’ve got to love a girlfriend who’s happy to share her clothes with you. This feminine and fun skirt and top is an Aussie label called Melinda and Narina.
I find it really tricky to blow-dry my own hair since it became curly and frizzy after having my girls, so whenever I can I pop into my nearby Maurice Meade and leave the hair styling in the capable hands of the fabulous team. They asked if I’d like my make up done, and I decided why not! I usually do my own hair and make up for events, so it was a really lovely treat to have it done for me. All I had to do was slip on my outfit and shoes – it made getting ready stress free and effortless. Too easy!
The show itself was spectacular, Zhivago delivered a futuristic display of trademark big shoulders, sequins, figure huggings dresses, gowns and skirts all with a big dose of attitude. Loved it.
Many thanks to my lady date for the evening, the gorgeous Penni from Aussie Bombshell and the lovely team at Maurice Meade who made getting ready so much fun and so easy, and of course my fabulous friend Kate for my outfit for the night.
