We just got back from a gorgeous family holiday at Rottnest where we spent our days at the beach having fun in the sun (Rottnest blog post coming soon!). Despite feeling refreshed and ready for the year ahead, all the salty air and sunshine played havoc with my skin and hair, leaving it dry and dehydrated, luckily I packed these beauty rescue products!
Kosmea Hydrating Rosewater Mist: This gorgeous rosewater mist provides a little hit of hydration for my face and body. It’s also great to use a a quick cool down at the beach, and Ava loves it too!
Body Shop Polynesia Monoi Miracle Oil: This is a holiday in a bottle! It smells like frangipanis and cocktails and is a big slurp of nourishment for your skin. It can be used as a body oil, in the bath or you can run it through the ends of your hair. It’s absorbed really quickly and leaves your skin feeling and smelling heavenly.
Batiste Tropical Dry Shampoo: This is the easiest way to freshen up your hair when you don’t have time to wash it. I LOVE dry shampoo and this particular version smells like a Piña Colada! Yum yum!
Sodashi Brightening Marine Mineral Mask: Whenever my skin feels dull and dehydrated, I pop this gorgeous mask on, leave it for about ten minutes, then wash it off in the shower. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed, hydrated, brighter and SO much smoother. It’s the ultimate treat for your skin! Love it.
Kerastase Soleil Huile Lactée : This is a nourishing spray especially designed to protect your hair from the sun. I spray it in the ends of my hair every morning and night during Summer to prevent my hair becoming dry and damaged from the sun.
Happy beauty shopping lovelies!

That mineral mask reads so nice though a bit expensive, I might just have to save up my pennies for this as my skin sure does need this. We are on our way home from Byron Bay to Sydney. I’m embarrassed that I don’t take many beauty products when on holidays, esp beach ones. I just make sure I have a good sun cream then deal with the dry skin/sun damaged hair when I get home!
It is amazing, and you only need the tiniest bit! Might be a nice gift for a special occasion – from you to you??!! 😉 I hope you had an amazing time in Byron Bay. I ‘ve never been and would LOVE to go! x x
Hi Amy,
I love the Kosmea mist too, it smells so pretty! I did a holiday beauty post recently and included a lot of the Kosmea miniatures. It is so handy to be able to buy smaller versions of the products you love so you don’t have to cart around your full bottles. I am big on taking soy candles in a tin as well, so any stress of travel can melt away. The big one of course is also a reliable sunscreen! I also use the Kora Organics tinted day cream rather than a full foundation.

Isn’t it just gorgeous? I used it all over my body to keep cool and the smell is just amazing. I just took a look at your post – gorgeous! And I am a massive candle fan too. When I was a flight attendant I always had a candle with me to make my hotel room feel a bit more homely. Love your blog – your photos are just amazing. Put my iPhone photos to shame! 😉 x x
Love the sound of this Kerastase product! I’m in the market for something like this, as I really hate my hair getting dry at the ends!
I may go on a shopping trip during my lunch break tomorrow 🙂

It’s really good, and the Body Shop oil works well in the ends of your hair too (and smells delish!!). x x
Hi Amy,
Thanks for the tips! Do you have anything you can recommend for hair in the humidity? We are off to Bali in a couple of weeks and know it will be very humid and my hair does not handle it well! Many thanks
Sarah
