Special guest editor Emma Reynolds is bringing us all the hottest trends for the upcoming racing season. Emma was the 2012 WA State Myer Fashions on the Field winner last spring winning a once in a life time trip to Flemington to attend the Spring racing carnival and 50 years of Fashions on the Field, where she came third in the national competition (pictured below, far left).
Over the next four weeks leading up to Ascot Opening day on the 19th October, Emma will be picking her favourite Spring Racing trends to share on Absolute Amy.
When dressing for the races it’s an opportunity to feel ladylike and wear some amazing headwear (my favourite part!).
Although you might want to consider the hem length when dressing for the races, it doesn’t mean you can’t be on trend!
My first trend is MONOCHROME. Black and White is everywhere. Window print check / Stripes / sports luxe… you will find a plethora (love that word) of black and white in stores! If you are wearing all black and white maybe add an accessory with a pop of colour.
This year’s WA State finals will be held on the 19th October at Ascot Racecourse in Perth. For further details on Ascot Opening day or tickets see Perth Racing.
For more information on this years Myer Fashion on the Field competition see the Melbourne Cup website.
I hope you enjoyed this and look forward to bringing you some further racing fashion inspiration next week
