I loved my stay in hospital after having both my babies, it was such a special time getting to know my girls and learn lots of handy tips from the amazing midwives. Having a baby is definitely not the most glamorous time of your life, but there are a couple of things I packed that helped me feel a bit more fab than drab.
It helps to have a pretty pair of PJ’s for hospital, and it’s important to be able to ‘access all areas’ – so probably best to leave the animal print onesie at home! I also packed my own organic Weleda Baby Shampoo and Body Wash as the baby shampoo that’s supplied in hospital is full of chemicals and nasties. I was given the Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom shower gel before I went into hospital with Ava and loved it so much, I took it to hospital this time as well. It’s such a clean and fresh fragrance and you need all the help you can get to feel fresh and fabulous when you’re only getting a few hours sleep at night. If you decide to feed your baby, then it’s important to have tops that make it easy and these Target tops are winners for being comfy and great value for money, then you can style them up with a fab scarf like this multi coloured animal print scarf which I recently picked up from Sportsgirl. Scarves are ideal for when you’re feeding as they can be used as a cover and hide any little burp stains you might get on your clothes.
Happy hospital bag packing!
