There are so many things I love about our beautiful city and I really enjoy capturing spectacular moments. Stunning sunrises and sunsets, moody dark skies and rainbows peeking through the clouds over the Swan River. Each time I fall in love with Perth just that little bit more, and can’t help but feel so lucky to live in such an amazing place.
If you think your local area is pretty amazing too, Yellow Pages have launched their ‘Capture the Cover‘ competition for 2014 which is your chance to showcase what you love about your neighbourhood. The theme this year is ‘Only Locals Know’, so you can take a snapshot of your favourite spot to watch the sunset, a secret garden, a beautiful building, a stunning view or your favourite tucked away cafe.
Your entry will be in the running to be on the cover of your local Yellow Pages (you can check your region here) and you could win a share of $60,000 in prizes!
To enter, head to the Yellow Pages Capture the Cover web page where you can also check out entries from last year, see all the comp details and photo requirements and get some fab tips and tricks from the judging panel of photographers.
This year, you can also enter via Instagram using the hashtag #CapturetheCover and @Yellow_au. If your entry makes it to the shortlist, you’ll be asked to complete the entry process.
There will be five covers for each of WA’s regions and the winner of each cover will receive $1000 and there will be seven runner up prizes of $100. Woo hoo!
You must be 18+, the photo must be taken in the region you live in (you can check yours here) and for privacy reasons, photos can’t include people.
Happy snapping everyone!
