I’ve always had fine, flyaway hair and during my last pregnancy it became extremely dry and damaged – leaving me with a halo of broken hair. It was really hard to manage, was almost impossible to get a comb through after washing it and when I blow dried my hair it felt and looked like straw. It was so frustrating having to deal with all of the usual pregnancy symptoms along with having horrible hair.
This time around, I’ve paid a lot more attention to looking after my hair and was very excited to be invited along to try the clever new range of Shu Uemura products by having an ‘Art of Hair Ceremony’. The ceremony is based on the traditional Japanese tea ceremony, and involves Shiatsu massage along with the application of the luxury hair care range. The process was so incredibly relaxing and my scalp and hair felt so clean and fresh afterwards. Once my hair had been styled, I was amazed at just how soft, smooth and shiny my hair was. It was as if my hair had never been coloured before!
Since then I have been using the Shu Uemura Art Of Hair Full Shimmer Illuminating range (pictured above) and my hair is so much more manageable. I can comb my hair through straight after washing, it’s much easier to style as my brush glides through my hair and once I’ve blow dried my hair, it’s silky and shiny and the blow dry lasts for up to three days – previously I’d only get a day of my hair looking any good. I also apply a tiny amount of the Touch of Glass balm which adds amazing shine, it’s like lip gloss for your hair! I can confidently say that this is one of the very best hair care ranges I’ve ever tried, and it’s such a relief to know my hair is healthy, strong and shiny – and I can get on with being a mum to an energetic toddler and getting ready for baby number two!
The Shu Uemura Art of Hair range is available exclusively through Maurice Meade salons in Western Australia. If you live in other parts of Australia or the globe, you can check your nearest stockist here.
Here’s to happy, shiny, healthy hair lovelies!
