During my last pregnancy I mistakenly thought I could only shop at maternity stores to find clothes with room to grow, but thanks to the interwebs and fabulous blogs featuring maternity style – this time around I know that’s not always the case.
I’m now 16 weeks (4 months) pregnant with our second child and have slowly been adding some versatile ‘Bump Chic’ pieces to my wardrobe. In fact, every item in this outfit post isn’t even maternity wear!
I found this gorgeous skirt featuring leather look side panels with an elastic waist, all the better for a growing bump! This flowy, pink silk top is also perfect for a a baby belly. I teamed it with leopard print loafers, my new favourite jacket and a pink bracelet.
This jacket is the perfect cross between a cardigan and a jacket – it feels snuggly and comfy like a cardigan, but looks just that little bit smarter. You can wear it two ways – casually undone, or tied up at the front.
I can already tell that this jacket is going to be one of my winter wardrobe staples. It’s so versatile and would be perfect for the office, teamed with black pants and killer heels for dinner or with flats for a mum on the run like me!
On another note: Ava’s favourite new game is to mystery dial people on my phone, apologies to those of you who have received early morning wake up calls from a certain little someone!

You look lovely Amy! Can I ask where you bought your loafers from?
Thank you so much. I bought the loafers from Sportsgirl last year, I can’t see them on their website (hence a different link) but you might still be able to get them in store. A x x
Gorgeous outfit! and you’ll be able to mix and match so well x
Thanks Ems! A x x
You look gorgeous, Amy! I love those loafers; I will be very sad when they stop making things in leopard print. Now that you’re pregnant do you find you’re not wearing heels as much? The girls in the office knew I was pregnant the day I started wearing flats!
Oh thanks so much lovely! I love my leopard print! I have shoes, belts, scarves, dresses – you name it! I used to wear heels every day, but since falling pregnant with Ava I mostly wear flats – isn’t it funny? It’s a dead giveaway when you start wearing flats and stop drinking!! 🙂 x x
