A few weeks ago, I met Rick and Emily Parish at a charity event. They told me about their beautiful brown eyed boy Elliott who sadly lost his battle with cancer last year. They also told me about their incredible crusade against childhood cancer in his memory, through the Telethon Adventurers.
As a mother, their story touched me for so many reasons, I could see how fiercely they loved their little boy and I was in awe of how they have turned their devastating loss and grief into devoting their lives to finding the cause and a cure for childhood cancer.
That’s why it’s such an honour for me to accept the invitation to be an ambassador for the Telethon Adventurers. The Telethon Adventurers are dedicated to raising funds for research and equipment for childhood cancer and last year they distributed almost $1,500, 000 to Princess Margaret Hospital for Children and the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research.
I encourage all parents to get behind the Telethon Adventurers and support them in any way possible.
Together we can work towards a future that’s cancer free for our children.

That’s terrific, Amy. My brother’s little girl died from a terrible brain tumour in 2010. Very sad as she was their only child. I’m pleased there are people giving so much to see what changes research can bring.
I’m so sorry to hear about your niece Heather, it’s very sad and unfair. That’s why it’s so important we do everything we can to prevent this from happening to other children in the future. Thanks for taking time to leave a comment. A x
Congratulations Amy, such a great cause to be a part of, I will definitely be supporting the Telethon Adventurers. Thank you for sharing this story, it is so tragic that some children have to suffer so young and along with their families. Let’s hope this charity brings changes to people’s lives. X x
