What a gorgeous, sunshiny day here in Perth! I can’t believe that it’s the middle of April and we are still having such amazing weather. There was no better way to spend a beautiful morning like this than with a yummy breakfast at the Naked Fig in Swanbourne with great company – my Little Miss and a lovely friend I hadn’t seen in months. This is the kind of friend who no matter how long it’s been since we’ve seen each other, it’s like it was yesterday. The conversation is always easy and interesting and inspiring and we even had a couple of great big belly laughs. My kind of friend.
I love the Naked Fig for so many reasons, the location is just heavenly, but unlike a lot of cafes and restaurants here in Perth that rest their laurels entirely on their location and forget about everything else, the Naked Fig really delivers. The food is healthy and delicious with funny names like ‘Hot Latino’ and ‘Naughty but Nice’. They have fresh healthy juices like ‘Mad Monkey’ and ‘Nut Nectar’ on the menu and the service is really fantastic with friendly staff that look after you from the minute you walk in the door (I have a thing about customer service!). Plus they are kid friendly and there is so much for the little ones to look at to keep them entertained.
I normally order the vegan breakfast which is a delicious combo of field mushrooms, slow roasted cherry tomatoes and wilted spinach on organic wholegrain toast, but today I was boring and opted for scrambled eggs with a side of bacon for Little Miss (you can just see her little hand reaching for it in the photo above!). It was still a delicious choice.
The coffee is really yummy and hot and was served super fast. In fact it was so good, I was a little bit naughty and had two!
After our deliciously yummy breakfast, I took Little Miss to the playground just in front of the Naked Fig for a play. It was the perfect way to end a perfect morning!
The Naked Fig also serve delicious lunches and dinners, I am definitely going back to check out their dinner and cocktail menu.
