A few years ago my hair was in such a bad state it looked and felt like straw. It was breaking and falling out and I was at a complete loss to know what to do about it.
Fast forward to now, and I’m absolutely amazed at just how strong, healthy and shiny my hair is. It has taken time and patience, along with the careful guidance of the fabulous team at Maurice Meade, and I’m so happy and relieved to say I finally have the hair I always wanted.
One of the first things I did was replace my old hairdryer. The settings were way too hot and damaging my already fragile hair. The solution? A ghd hairdryer, the settings are powerful and effective without it being so hot it damages your hair.
I then started using really good quality hair care. For my frazzled, fine and fragile hair I’ve found Kerastase Nutritive range beautifully nourishing and hydrating.
I also LOVE the Shu Uemura Ultimate Remedy range. If you are in desperate need of a hair rescue, this is the range I highly recommend. After just one use of the shampoo, restoration treatment and duo serum, my usually tangly hair was smooth, super soft and SO easy to style.
I’ve also been using Kerastase Initialiste which encourages strong new hair growth. I would highly recommend this to anyone who’s been experiencing hair loss. I know how stressful and upsetting hair loss can be, and this product has really helped.
It’s also really important to find a great colourist and stylist who will listen to your hair concerns and give you guidance along the way. I only have my hair cut every second visit as my fine hair doesn’t grow very quickly, and I think that’s really allowed my hair to grow while still keeping it strong and healthy.
If you’ve been experiencing hair loss, broken hair or if you’re just not happy with how your hair feels or looks, it’s worth booking in an appointment at Maurice Meade to have your best hair yet.

I’ve always been fairly lucky with my hair … it’s very fine but I have a lot of it. I do need to wash it every day as it gets quite oily but I will admit to not spending too much time or attention on it. It has a bit of a wave and falls naturally just the way I like it!

Lucky you!!!! If I leave my hair to dry naturally people ask me what happened to it!! Ha ha! x x
Great post! We have almost the same hair routine…but I do go to Maurice Meade too! The ghd hairdryer is one of my all time favorite purchases, I can’t live without mine! As well as my Kerastase products..my hair is the besr it’s ever been!
I have strong, coarse hair but since I bought a ghd hairdryer on your recommendation,it is now under control. This dryer is great and I get my hair dry in no time without the breakage and frying I used to get. Thanks Amy.x
I’ve been SO looking forward to this post!!! Thank you for all your tips. I’ve been using the Inisialiste ( (which I LOVE) and some other lovely Kerastase products. Which styling products do you use/recommend? I’ve been doing my best to avoid heat, but curly hair and winter weather make for a whole lot of FRIZZ!!! xxx
Thank you so much for this post. I’ve been facing many of the same issues with my hair and you have inspired me to a new way forward to deal with it!
