I can’t believe that I’m already packing away the Christmas decorations and getting ready to welcome in a brand new, shiny year. I will be sad to say good-bye to 2013. It’s been such a wonderful year where we welcomed our sweet, cuddly, happy Chloe bear. It was so heart melting to see Ava love her little sister instantly and to watch their relationship blossom since then. How nurturing, loving and caring Ava is towards Chloe. How adoring Chloe is of her big sister. I hope they will always love one another and be best friends through the years.
It’s always great to stop and take time to reflect on the year that was. It’s been a busy year with short bursts of solo parenting which is equally challenging and rewarding. Home improvements, a short trip down South and adjusting to life as a family of four. I still can’t believe I’m the mother of two gorgeous and very different girls. Ava, effervescent and vivacious, funny and full of life. Always busy, always singing and dancing. Our sweet Chloe bear. Content and happy, she loves being a quiet observer and rewards me with a great big smile whenever I walk into the room.
My blog has continued to provide me with a happy little space. Some of my most popular posts this year have been a Tiffany VIP Night where I met Ewan McGregor, (and yes ladies – he is just as dreamy and lovely in real life as he is on the big screen!), the opening of La Vie at Crown , Keeping It Real, Welcome Sweet Baby Chloe and Life With Two Little Ones So Far.
If I had to choose a theme song for 2013, amidst all the craziness and sleepless nights, it would be this one. We LOVE ‘Happy’ and have lots of fun, family dance offs clapping along;
A few big thank you’s are in order for 2013. Thank you to my amazing and ever supportive hubby who is the very best Daddy I could have ever hoped for and one of the most hard working people I know. Never complaining, only ever making everyones life better just by being in it. My incredible family, especially the ‘A’ team – my mum and dad, who are unbelievably supportive, loving, thoughtful and helpful. I couldn’t do it without you! My two beautiful girls, my greatest gifts. I can’t believe how lucky I am to be your mum. Thank you for teaching me so much each and every day. My friends who supply me with loads of laughs and love throughout the year.
And a great big thank you to YOU – my fabulous readers! Thank you for taking time out of your busy days to stop by my blog. There have been many times this year where I’ve wondered if I should continue blogging, or if it’s all a bit silly and each time I’ve received a lovely e-mail from a reader letting me know how much they enjoy my blog, so thank you to each and every one of you. Thanks for sharing your lives and advice with me, I get so much more out of my blog than I put into it.
So farewell 2013, it’s been a blast… and here’s to 2014!
May it be even bigger, brighter and better than we could ever imagine!
